This research aims to identify the South Sumatra Province KPU's strategy in increasing the participation of disabled voters in the 2024 Presidential election, as well as the obstacles and factors that influence the effectiveness of this strategy.

The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation at the South Sumatra Province KPU office, as well as the head of the KPPS and the Disability Group. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation as well as thematic verification and confirmation of conclusions based on Strategy Theory (Mulgan, 2009:19) and Political Participation Theory (Budiardjo, 2019), to identify KPU strategies as well as obstacles and factors that influence the effectiveness of these strategies.

Research results reveal that the South Sumatra Province KPU is implementing various strategies to increase the participation of disabled voters in the 2024 Presidential Election. These strategies include direct outreach to communities and social institutions, the use of social media and tools such as braille, as well as training for KPPS to be able to provide inclusive services. The KPU also involves people with disabilities in election simulations and public service announcements to increase their political awareness. The facilities at TPS are prepared to be disability-friendly, such as special lanes, wheelchairs and ball pick-up services. Collaboration with social institutions and the disability community helps strengthen the dissemination of information. Even though there are obstacles such as limited disability-friendly information media and psychological barriers, this strategy is considered effective in increasing the self- confidence and political participation of people with disabilities. This effort reflects the South Sumatra KPU's commitment to realizing elections that are inclusive, fair and equal for all.

Based on research results, the South Sumatra Provincial KPU's strategy in increasing the participation of disabled voters in the 2024 Presidential Election shows a positive commitment, but still faces obstacles. The goal of political inclusion has been well directed, but the provision of facilities and information still does not fully support the needs of people with disabilities, especially sensory and intellectual disabilities. Socialization is not yet fully accessible, and the involvement of disabilities in decision making is still limited. The level of participation is still largely passive due to lack of information, physical barriers, as well as psychological and social factors. To realize inclusive elections, the KPU's strategy needs to be strengthened through increasing accessibility, involving the disability community, and more disability-friendly communication methods.
