This study focuses on the politics of women's presence in the election organizing body at the KPU of Palembang City, where this study aims to see the extent of the role, position and presence of women in the context of election organizers. This study uses the framework of the Theory of Political Presence from Anne Phillips with three indicators: first, Descriptive presence, namely the presence of women marked by physical presence in an institution. Second, Substantive presence, namely in addition to physical presence and filling quotas, women's presence must also represent and be active in fighting for their interests and third, Transformative Personal presence, namely the presence of women triggers change and social order in the institution.

This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach that highlights female commissioners at the Palembang City General Elections Commission (KPU). Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

The results of this study produced several findings, namely first, Equality of Access, namely equality of opinion, discussion and job description that has been determined to be appropriate and mutually agreed upon between female and male commissioners in decision making, second Inclusive Representation, female commissioners make policies related to working hours for women so that they are not bound 24 hours in the office although unfortunately the policy has not been made specifically, third Increasing Female Voter Participation, in this finding it was found that Palembang City experienced a decline in female voter participation, the Palembang City KPU did not hold socialization in the female voter segment during the election but in the 2024 regional elections the Palembang City KPU held socialization of the female voter segment and the last is Improving Election Quality, Female commissioners at the Palembang City KPU succeeded in improving the quality of the election, this is proven by the experience of Mrs. Sri Maryati., S.H., C.Med as the applicant in the case and Mrs. Devi Yulianti, S.H who is an advocate.

The conclusions show that the political presence of women in the election organizing body of the Palembang City General Election Commission (KPU) is substantive.
