This study investigates the effectiveness of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in improving the speaking skills of students. Utilizing a quantitative research method, the study employs a pre-experimental design with one experimental class and a try-out class. The experimental group consisted of 25 students who participated in TBLT activities designed to enhance their speaking abilities. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in speaking skills. The results indicate a significant improvement in the speaking performance of the experimental group, suggesting that TBLT is an effective approach for enhancing speaking proficiency. The findings contribute to the growing body of evidence
supporting TBLT as a beneficial method in language learning, particularly in developing speaking skills.
