Construction management is a strategic element that plays an important role in determining the success of a development project. Project management processes include planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation stages to achieve the targeted time, cost, and quality. Previous studies indicate that the planning factor is the most significant factor influencing construction management performance. One of the strategic projects requiring effective management is the construction of an access road to the drilling site owned by PT Pertamina located in Gunung Kemala Village, Prabumulih City. This project aims to support the smooth mobilization of oil and gas drilling equipment and to accelerate transportation access to the drilling area. The main problem faced in this project is the absence of adequate road access to the drilling site, which hinders exploration activities. In addition, construction projects are prone to delays caused by technical factors, negligence, and conditions beyond the control of the contractor or project owner. Therefore, it is necessary to measure construction management performance using key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, cost control effectiveness, work quality achievement, occupational safety, and resource productivity. This study focuses on measuring construction management performance in the access road construction project leading to the PT Pertamina drilling site in Gunung Kemala. The results of this study are expected to provide an objective overview of project management effectiveness and serve as a basis for improvement in future construction projects in the energy sector.
