Abstract
The city of Palembang is the capital of South Sumatra which is the center of activity for various kinds of activities, both in fields of government, trade, and others. One of the roads often experience congestion in city of Palembang is Jl. Resident H. Najamudin. The purpose of this study is to find out how much traffic volume on Jl. Resident H. Najamudin and to find out the road capacity on Jl. Resident H. Najamudin in 2017-2020. To analyze data using the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines.
The results of analysis in this study are the highest traffic volume in 2017 of 2473 SMP/Hour in first segment and 2431 SMP/Hour in second segment. In 2018, the first segment was 2502 SMP/Hour and the second segment was 2478 SMP/Hour. While in 2019 there were 2395 SMP/Hour in first segment and 2391 SMP/Hour in second segment. In 2020 first segment is 3370 SMP/hour and second segment is 3378 SMP/hour. It can be concluded the volume of traffic on the road has increased every year due to increased mobility and number of vehicles is increasing. The road capacity in 2017-2019 has same value, namely in first segment 2975 SMP/hour and second segment 2810 SMP/hour. Because, that year there was no road widening. Meanwhile, in 2020, road capacity value is 2810 SMP/hour in first segment and 2810 SMP/hour in second segment. Because, that year there has been widening of road and road has been renovated.
