Abstract

To improve the performance of asphalt road pavement against traffic loading, a test was carried out using 60/70 penetration asphalt with red brick powder as a filler. This study was conducted to determine the effect of using red brick powder filler on the Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) value and the stability value of the HRS – WC mixture. The method used in this study is an experimental method. The test results showed that the KAO value of 60/70 penetration asphalt without red brick powder filler was 8.25% while the KAO value of 60/70 penetration asphalt with red brick powder was 8.1% and the stability value of 60/70 penetration asphalt mixture without red brick powder filler was 996 kg while the penetration asphalt mixture was 60/70 with red brick powder 1614 kg. Then it can be stated that the influence of the use of red brick powder filler on the HRS – WC mixture increases the stability value and reduces the use of asphalt
