EVALUASI DIMENSI DRAINASE KAWASAN KAMPUS A UNIVERSITAS INDO GLOBAL MANDIRI PALEMBANG

In the area of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) there was flooding due to high rainfall and a large amount of garbage in the drainage channel. This study was conducted to find out whether the drainage channel in the area is able to accommodate the discharge that occurs and provide proper handling of floods in the Uigm Palembang Campus A area. The analysis method used in this study is a quantitative method. Based on research, it was obtained that the distribution that meets the conditions in the selection of the distribution is the Person III Log Distribution. The results of the calculation of the plan discharge with data on the average rainfall intensity of the 2-year anniversary of 1,711 m3 / s, the 5-year anniversary of 2,449 m3 / s, and the 10-year repetition of 2,946 m3 / s. From the calculation of the plan discharge, it is known that the drainage channel in the Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) area cannot accommodate the size of the plan discharge, so a drainage channel is planned that is safe against flood discharge with dimensions of channel width of 1.7 m and height of 2 m
