UPAYA PEMERINTAH DESA DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT (Studi Kasus Pembangunan Ekonomi Kelompok Tani Desa Muara Gelumpai Kecamatan Muara Payang Kabupaten Lahat)

This study aims to determine the level of success in implementing community empowerment activities through the "Together We Can" farmer group in Muara Gelumpai Village to improve the economy. So from this research it can be seen what efforts have been made in empowering the community.
In this study the types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data obtained in this research was obtained from the Head of Muara Gelumpai Village, Muara Payang District, Lahat Regency. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative analysis technique.
The results of the study show that the efforts made by the village government, in this case the village head, are still not optimal. This can be seen from the constraints that occur such as a). lack of outreach and guidance to farmer groups and infrastructure that has not been fulfilled, b). lack of strong attention and commitment from the village head in planning programs and policies for farmer groups, c) ). the use of technology which is classified as very simple due to the lack of application of agricultural technology and d). the lack of realization of the village budget funds used to empower farmer groups.
From the results of this study it can be concluded as a whole that the village government has not been successful in carrying out community empowerment in economic development through farmer groups in the village of Muara Gelumpai. The number of problems ranging from unclear activities after the formation of farmer groups and the absence of a program made by the village head himself for empowering farmer groups, resulted in new problems arising.
