Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out there teachers' strategies by English teacher at Ma Al￾Hidayah Muara Telang. The design of this research was descriptive, the research was qualitative
approach. The total population in this research was two teacher which is teacher A. and teacher
B. The sample of this research was teachers at Ma Al-hidayah Muara Telang. The researcher was
doing observation in the classroom, interviews the teachers and documentation. The data were
identified described and analyzed by using observation and the interviews. The result showed that
the English teachers' applied three strategies in teaching speaking at Ma Al-hidayah Muara
Telang, the strategies were Dialogue, Question and Answer and Conversation. The teacher
applied the strategies students to help students become active during teaching learning process.
The strategies could help the students become more active in the teaching and learning process,
because the implementation of those strategies was appropriate.
